Summary
Build stages
Stage 2 — Complete (1 January 2019)
- Stage 2 involved a 7-month base build and fit-out programme that added two levels, two data halls, and 15 switch rooms. Delivered via a precast structural redesign. [1]
Stage 3 — Complete (1 June 2023)
- Stage 3 constructed a 7,494m² "Innovation Tower" that houses five levels of offices, an auditorium, a commercial tenancy, training and end-of-trip facilities. [2]
Stage 4 — Complete
- Stage 4 constructed a new building with six data halls over five levels, including a 10MW data hall described as one of the largest of its kind in Victoria at the time of building. [3]
Stage 5 — Complete (1 March 2022)
- Stage 5 was an 11-month programme delivered during COVID-19 restrictions, adding five data halls, a loading dock, and contractor amenities. Approximately 3,750m² of additional technical space and 15MW of capacity. [4]
Stage 5.1 — Complete (1 July 2024)
- Stage 5B involved expansion works that delivered several further data halls for global cloud platform provider capacity.[5]
Stage 6 — Under construction
- Scheduled to add 8MW of new capacity. Completion targeted for 2025, but no industry news that it has been completed. [6]
